Me Within Me – A Kundalini Yoga Mantra of Mastery

Published on 10 September 2025 at 12:12

“Me within me is the purity. Me within me is the reality. Me within me is the grace. I am the Master of the space.”

Every word of this mantra serves as a mirror, revealing that the qualities we seek outside already reside within us.

Purity, reality, grace, and mastery are your natural state when you remember who you truly are. You carry them inside, always.

When I sit with this mantra, the racing thoughts, anxiety, the overthinking fades. All the expectations, self-doubt, the hustle of the day, they fall away. Purity doesn’t mean you're flawless. It’s the clarity that comes when everything quiets down.

Purity is remembering the essence beneath all that above-mentioned clutter. It’s the me within me that can’t be stained, no matter what has happened.

You are a soul. Have you met your soul yet? You don’t need to look outside of yourself. Everything you need is within this body suit you are wearing.

You are a soul. That is the starting point. Beneath the roles you play and the thoughts that rise and fall, the soul is steady. It chose this body and moves through it, yet it remains larger than circumstance.

Meeting the soul is less about searching and more about remembering. Everything essential already lives within you. Strength, love, clarity and courage are not qualities to gather from the outside world. They are already present, waiting to be recognised.

From this awareness comes grace. Grace is the natural movement of the soul when effort eases. It shows in the way love flows freely, in the way actions carry simplicity, in the way presence fills a room without needing to prove itself.

Mastery grows from the same root. It is not control or domination. It is the steadiness of being fully here—whether in quiet moments or in the middle of chaos. Mastery is the confidence of wholeness, and from that wholeness the world responds.

Purity, reality, grace and mastery are not steps on a ladder. They are different doors into the same space: the self within the self. Yoga continually points us there. The practice is not about becoming something else, but uncovering what has always been alive within.

When practice fades, it is easy to forget. The mind fills with judgment, doubt or distraction. The mantra restores balance. It brings you back to the center where the soul resides, unshaken and complete.

Living from that place builds quiet courage. Not dramatic, but steady. It allows you to face change with an open heart and a clear mind. It reminds you that radiance is constant, and that nothing essential can be taken away.

The Me Within Me is the Soul.
