Your Spiritual Crown Jewel

The Radiant Body: Kundalini Yoga’s Tenth Body

In Kundalini Yoga, we don’t just stop at the idea of body and mind. We stretch further—ten bodies further, to be exact. One physical body, three mental bodies, and six energy bodies make up the constellation of you.

It’s a whole system that recognizes the unseen parts we can’t measure on a scale or point to on an X-ray, but that we feel moving through us, humming beneath the surface.

Every kriya, every mantra, every deep inhale and exhale touches these bodies in its own way. Kundalini Yoga doesn’t play small—it works on all ten bodies, weaving them together so you live as a complete human, not just a walking collection of bones and thoughts.

And then we get to the final jewel in the crown: the Tenth Body, the Radiant Body.

The Radiant Body is that quality of spiritual royalty and presence that makes someone walk into a room and you just feel them before they’ve spoken a word.

It’s charisma that doesn’t need to try, courage that isn’t brash, and light that shines without demanding the spotlight. A strong Radiant Body is what lets you face obstacles with a kind of nobility—head high, heart steady, fearless in love.

Yogi Bhajan described the tenth body as “one plus”—your Soul Body amplified and adorned with radiance.

It’s the soul’s light projected outward. With it, good things are naturally drawn to you—not because you chase them, but because your presence has become magnetic.

When the Radiant Body is strong, there’s no scrambling, no grasping for security outside yourself. You feel whole, contained, complete. You communicate through presence rather than performance. It’s the quiet courage that makes people lean in when you speak, and it’s the kind of beauty that doesn’t wrinkle or fade.

But when the Radiant Body is depleted, things get messy. You might find yourself feeling like you have to do everything alone, comparing yourself against others, puffing up or shrinking down depending on the situation. It’s that restless urge to prove you’re better—or the self-doubt that whispers you’re worse. Either way, it’s exhausting.

Strengthening this body isn’t about ego or personal shine—it’s about letting your radiance serve something bigger than you. When hidden agendas drop away, your Radiant Body makes you a teacher without trying. You embody love, not performance. You step into your duty without clinging to credit. You dissolve yourself in the rhythms of infinity, trusting that your light is meant to be shared.

The qualities of this body are noble ones: Royal Courage, Radiance, Nobility. Its key phrase? All or nothing. Those with a developed Radiant Body don’t do half-measures. They give 110% because they know holding back serves no one.

How do you know you’ve mastered it?
When you rise above expectations—not through force, but by naturally exceeding them. When courage carries you through fear and your very presence commands respect without needing to demand it.

How do you know it’s out of balance?
You might shy away from conflict, ducking the responsibility that comes with your own wisdom. You might even resist attention because deep down you’re afraid of what it means to be truly seen.

Balancing the Radiant Body is less about “fixing” and more about aligning. Start with your values. If you don’t know what they are, that’s your first step: find out. Commit to being your true self, without masks. And here’s a quirky but very real teaching from the tradition—avoid cutting your hair. Hair is said to carry energy and vitality for the Radiant Body, so letting it grow strengthens your natural shine.

The Radiant Body is your crown jewel. It’s the gift of courage, the spark of charisma, the strength of presence that speaks louder than words ever could. When this body is alive in you, life doesn’t feel like a battle to win—it feels like a dance with infinity.
